Colorbond is a pre-painted steel manufactured by BlueScope Steel. Colorbond is made with a zinc/aluminium alloy that coats steel. A conversion layer is applied to the surface of the steel to improve adhesion. A polyester primer is baked onto the surface before a further topcoat of specially developed, exterior grade paint is baked to ensure maximum resistance to chipping, peeling and cracking.
