EXTREME Performance Slate and Soft Bluestone Cutting Blades

Slate and Soft Bluestone Circular Saw Cutting Blades in the Austsaw range of saw blade technology products include Continuous Rim, Ultra Thin, Super Turbo Boxer and Super Turbo Diamond Blades as well as Segmented General Purpose and Trade (Green, Red and Black) Diamond Saw Blades.

Slate is a fine-grained, foliated, homogeneous metamorphic rock (Metamorphic Stone Cutting Blades) derived from an original shale-type sedimentary rock composed of clay or volcanic ash through low-grade regional metamorphism. When expertly "cut" by striking with a specialised tool, many slates will form smooth flat sheets of stone used for roofing, floor tiling and other purposes such as wall cladding, tombstones and commemorative tablets.

Bluestone is a name given for a number of dimension or building stone varieties including slate. In South Australia, the name bluestone is given to a form of slate that is much less durable than Victorian bluestone (See Basalt / Hard Bluestone Cutting Blades), but was valued for its decorative appearance.
